Known Limitations#

The exporter has the following known limitations:

  • The exporter writes to local folders only. It does not write directly to a Nucleus location.

  • Exported content depends on the selected 3D view. Hidden or unloaded Revit content is not available to the exporter.

  • Batch export suppresses common Revit dialogs. Some Revit dialogs can still require a response.

USDZ Limitations#

USDZ export has these additional limitations:

  • USDZ packages do not preserve MDL data.

  • USDZ packages are read-only. Use .usd, .usda, or .usdc for workflows that require editable layers or MDL.
