Tmux Guide

Tmux is optional. VibeAround can work with normal terminal launches and browser PTY sessions without tmux.

Use tmux when you want long-lived shells that survive browser refreshes or terminal window changes.

Basic Pattern

Start a tmux session in your workspace:

tmux new -s vibearound

Then attach from another terminal:

tmux attach -t vibearound

Web Terminal

The Web Terminal can be used to attach to a tmux session just like a normal shell:

tmux attach -t vibearound

This is useful from a phone or tablet over a paired tunnel.

Tips

  • Name sessions after projects.
  • Keep one tmux session per major workspace.
  • Use normal Launch sessions for agent resume; use tmux for shell persistence.
  • Do not expose public tunnel URLs without pairing.
