Mivana Organic Forest Coffee is now available at Collins Coffee Bar on Hua Hin Soi 102, giving local coffee drinkers the chance to try Thai Arabica beans grown in forest communities in Chiang Rai.
For regular coffee drinkers in Hua Hin, Collins Coffee Bar will already be a familiar name. The arrival of Mivana adds a new Thai-grown option with a strong story behind it, from organic farming and forest conservation to long-term work with local communities.
Mivana coffee is grown in the Mae Suai, Mae Korn and Mae Lao watershed forests in Chiang Rai, where 219 farming households across seven villages cultivate coffee using organic agroforestry methods.
The project covers 6,360.91 rai of forest coffee-growing areas and includes around 1.52 million coffee trees. Farmers grow coffee beneath the shade of large trees, while also planting other tree species to help restore soil fertility, increase biodiversity and support healthier forest ecosystems.
Thai coffee with a conservation story

Mivana’s approach is based on helping people and forests live together sustainably.
In Ban Huai Khrai, a small community in Wiang Pa Pao district, villagers have spent more than a decade moving away from monoculture crops such as passion fruit, which had contributed to forest loss and chemical contamination. They now grow coffee under the shade of large trees, helping restore the land and protect local waterways.
In Ban Khun Lao, also in Wiang Pa Pao district, a long tradition of tea production has developed into organic coffee cultivation under forest shade. The area is known for coffee with floral and fruity aromas, caramel and chocolate sweetness, and hints of spice and herbs.
Other Mivana coffee-growing communities include Ban Huai Khun Phra, Ban Mai Phatthana, Ban Pha Daeng Luang, Ban Doi Chang and Ban Rom Yen. Many of these communities are home to Akha, Lahu, Lisu and Pgak’nyau families whose livelihoods remain closely connected to the forest.
Ban Doi Chang, one of Thailand’s best-known coffee-growing areas, sits at 1,000 to 1,700 metres above sea level and is recognised for its GI-registered Arabica coffee.

Mivana’s blend series includes Signature Blend, Classic Blend, Superior Blend and Espresso Blend, with taste notes ranging from roasted almond, plum and sugarcane to dark chocolate, caramel, roasted nut and spice.
The coffee is grown at elevations of about 707 to 1,550 metres above sea level, with fully washed and natural processing methods used across different blends.
For coffee lovers in Hua Hin, the arrival of Mivana at Collins Coffee Bar offers a chance to try quality Thai coffee with a clear connection to forest restoration, sustainable farming and community livelihoods in northern Thailand.
