The main highlight was the men’s singles final, which saw brothers Jetphat Phetsanthad and Kantanut Phetsanthad face each other.

The match was closely contested, with both players trading points and games before it was decided in the fifth game. Jetphat eventually won 3-2 to claim the general men’s singles title.

In the men’s singles category, Jetphat Phetsanthad was named champion, Kantanut Phetsanthad finished as first runner-up, while Tham Rattanawachirin and Nirot Jongphiphatwanich were joint second runners-up.

The women’s singles title was won by Wiranchana Srichak, a national youth player in the under-19 category and one of Thailand’s rising table tennis players. Runrawee Suchada West finished as first runner-up, while Rinlada Leelaworawanich and Apinya Kongprasert were joint second runners-up.

Taweesin Phatthanaphirat, chairman of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Administrative Organisation Council, attended the finals and presided over the closing ceremony. He presented trophies, medals and prize money to the winning players.

The event was supported by Blúport Hua Hin and the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin.

Organisers said the first Hua Hin Table Tennis Championship provided a platform for young players, general competitors and table tennis enthusiasts to compete, gain experience and build sporting connections.

The event also formed part of efforts to promote Hua Hin as a destination for sports tourism.
