Pallas-1 (ex) [Galactic Energy]

Pallas-1 (Zhishenxing-1) is a Chinese medium-lift orbital launch vehicle under development by Galactic Energy. The partially reusable rocket is designed to carry up to 5,000 kg to low Earth orbit (LEO) or 3,000 kg to a 700-km Sun-synchronous orbit (SSO).

The first stage is powered by seven CQ-50 engines burning RP-1 and liquid oxygen (kerosene/LOX). The stage is equipped with landing legs and grid fins for recovery by vertical landing. The initial flight was conducted without attempting first-stage recovery.

Pallas-1 has a launch mass of about 283 metric tons. Its first launch, originally planned for November 2024, is delayed to 1 September 2026 from a new launch pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The maiden flight of the vehicle will serve as a test of the new launcher and successfully placed a dummy payload into orbit.

A heavier Pallas-1B version is planned to use three Pallas-1 booster cores and is designed to place up to 17,500 kg into LEO.
