Brik-2 [ISIS]
The Brik-2 (Brik-II), built by ISIS for the Royal Netherlands Air Force, is a CubeSat (6U) technological testbed mission.
Designed and integrated by ISIS, BRIK-II will serve as a testbed for various communications experiments and demonstrate how nanosatellites can provide a meaningful contribution to military operations. The mission represents a significant step forward for the Dutch Ministry of Defenses efforts to develop their first space capabilities, with a particular emphasis on responsive launch.
Brik-2s payload consist of:
- a military radio frequency receiver, details not given
- an UHF communication system
- a Langmuir probe to measure the electron density in the ionosphere
Brik-2 will be launched on a shared LauncherOne rocket in 2021.
