Foshan 1 or Qilu 4 []
Foshan 1 is an optical remote sensing satellite with a high-resolution panchromatic camera mounted on the satellite.
It mainly carries out the on-orbit verification of flexible platform and integrated design, ultra-lightweight design of the camera, and high-resolution imaging technology. It has 0.5 m resolution and is 100 kg class.
The Foshan-1 satellite is the first in-orbit verification of the Jihua Laboratory, one of the first four Guangdong laboratories, in the field of advanced new remote sensing satellite technologies. The satellite was built by Gengyu Muxing Space Tech. It is a sister satellite to Qilu 4, with both satellites capable to operate jointly for stereo imaging.
Foshan-1 was launched in April 2021 as a co-passenger on a CZ-6 rocket.
