TEE01B [Earth Eye]

TEE 01A and 01B (Earth Eye) are Chinese earth observation satellites developed for Mumei Xingkong Keji (EarthEye).

The 112 kg TEE-01B orbits at a height of 545 kilometers and can capture remote sensing photos with a ground pixel resolution of 0.52 m in panchromatic mode or 0.208 m in multispectral modeand a swath width of more than 14.8 km at the sub-satellite point. It is utilized to deliver remote sensing data services for my country's land and resource monitoring, mineral resource development, smart city construction, forestry resource survey, ecological environment monitoring, public emergency health, and other applications.

On 15 April 2026 Financial times cited leaked Iranian military documents claiming that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force secretly acquired the Chinese-built TEE-01B reconnaissance/surveillance satellite in late 2024 via an "in-orbit delivery" arrangement. Reportedly this satellite has been tasked the satellite to monitor and collect imagery/coordinates of major U.S. military bases across the Middle East (including sites in Saudi Arabia — e.g., Prince Sultan Air Base — Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, and others such as Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti). The iranian name of the satellite is not known. China has denied these reports.
