UNITYsat 1, 2, 3 (JITSat, GHRCEsat, Sri Shakthi Sat)

UNITYsat 1 [Unity Program]

UNITYsat is an 0.25U CubeSat project conducted by the Unity Program of several Indian universities.

Each UNITYsat is smaller than the standard CubeSats, but can be stacked to fit into the standard deployer. The first generation UNITYsats are 0.25U CubeSats, so that four can fit into the volume of a 1U CubeSat. For launch, these are treated as single payloads.

The three satellites for the first UNITYsat mission are:

  • JITSat by the Jeppiaar Inst of Technology, Sriperumbudur
  • GHRCEsat by the G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur
  • Sri Shakthi Sat by the Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
