Ruined by a Perseid? Of course not!
It looks like the Perseid meteor may hit the ruins of Hohenurach castle.
However, the visible path of a meteor is about 100 km high in the
atmosphere. A meteor this size (like a grain of sand) is completely
disintegrated into fine dust by friction with the air and distributed
in the upper atmosphere.
Part of the castle was ruined by lightning into the powder magazine in 1694.
