Above are stills and lobby cards from the original and re-release of Wayne's RANDY RIDES ALONE. And note the shirt color changes on Wayne, Yakima Canutt, George Hayes, and others. Sent that image to my contacts and asked if they had the scoop on how those lobby cards got "colorized". No solid answers on the technique used to do that. Below is a closer look at Yak Canutt's shirt and colors.

| About twenty years ago, Herman Hack's daughter Dorothy sent me this wonderful photo of her dad and other cast members in THE KANSAN (Harry Sherman Prod / UA, 1943). In addition to leading man Richard Dix, the main players were Victor Jory, Albert Dekker, Jane Wyatt, Eugene Pallette, Robert Armstrong, and Douglas Fowley. Our Mystery guy is not any of those folks. L-R are an unidentified guy, Marilyn McConnell, and Jack Hendricks. Photo crops below from some production stills. Unidentified is not Jack Tornek. Anyone have a pressbook for this film? Have you seen this face in another film ? Click HERE for info on the film at the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) and the link will open in a separate window / tab. |
