Pectolite-M2abc

A structural variant of Pectolite
This page is currently not sponsored. Click here to sponsor this page.
Formula:
NaCa2[HSi3O9]
A polytype of Pectolite

Electron diffraction patterns showed one pectolite sample from Rauschermühle, Germany, that gave a pattern like of "parawollastonite". The name parapectolite was suggested by Müller (1976).
Michael Fleischer according to IMA recommendation (1962) about parawollastonite, changed the name parapectolite to pectolite-M2abc.

The original pectolite-M2abc material came from Rauschermühle Quarry, Niederkirchen, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
