in the honor of Professor Vadim Grigorievich Lazarenkov (ВаÐīÐļО Ð“Ņ€ÐļÐģÐūŅ€ŅŒÐĩÐēÐļ҇ Ð›Ð°Ð·Ð°Ņ€ÐĩÐ―ÐšÐūÐē) (1933–2014), Soviet and Russian scientist who worked at the Saint-Petersburg Mining University, for his outstanding contributions to the geology and petrology of ultrabasic and basic rocks, including those from the Konder deposit, as well as to the geochemistry and mineralogy of PGE.
Isostructural with mertieite (may be understood as its BiTeAs-analogue). Unique combination of (species-defining) elements (at the upload time).
