UM1973-01-As:NiPd

This page is currently not sponsored. Click here to sponsor this page.
Formula:
~(Ni,Pd)7As3
In the original paper there are two compounds given: (Ni,Pd)5+xAs2 and beta-(Ni,Pd)2+xAs2, of similar properties
Crystal System:
Hexagonal
From Talnakh deposit, Russia.

Data for the (Ni,Pd)5+xAs2 phase (all further data concerning material of the second reported chemical analysis): isometric, elongated, lens-like, polygonal crystalline grains, 1-100 microns in diameter; with chalcopyrite, cubanite, polarite, Ag-Au alloys, sperrylite, other PGM, talnakhite, magnetite, galena, and silicate minerals.

Possibly the Ni-dominant analogue of majakite.
