Formula:
Cu-Ca-As-O
"A copper arsenate, with Ca present, and minor Fe, Zn, and Sb." (Walenta, 1979). A Ca-free variety was described by Walenta (2002).
Colour:
White to pale green
As white to pale green fibrous radiating crystals, with chalcophyllite and bariumpharmacosiderite from Neubulach, Black Forest, Germany (Walenta, 1979). Distinctive PXRD pattern.
A Ca-free variety with slightly different X-ray powder pattern was later found at the famous Clara mine, Black Forest, Germany (Walenta, 2002).
