Formula:
U3SiO8
(U,Ca)3SiO8 better reflects the chemistry
Chemically similar to 'UM1983-25-SiO:U', 'UM1983-26-SiO:U', 'UM1983-27-SiO:U', 'UM1983-28-SiO:U', and uranosilite; compare also 'UM1957-01-SiO:U'.

Encountered mainly within U silicate spherulites of the Balkan metallogenic zone; occurs intergrown with pitchblende (uraninite), coffinite, and two other unnamed uranium silicates (Am. Mineral. 68, 1040); probably results from alteration of uraninite. 'UM1985-27-SiO:FeU' and other U-Fe silicates are reported from the same zone.
