The gadolinite subgroup has its name after the generic name gadolinite. Established as a subgroup of the gadolinite group of the gadolinite supergroup by IMA in aug. 2016 (Proposal 16-A).
A subgroup of the Gadolinite Group in the Gadolinite Supergroup.
The gadolinite subgroup is defined by that the A site being dominantly occupied by trivalent cations and the Q site by divalent cations.
