The Al dominant analogue of sapphirine.
A peraluminous sapphirine found in the Lotru Metamorphic Suite in the South Carpathians, Romania. The calculated formula contained only 1.71 Si per 28 cations. Al would be the dominant cation at the T2 and T3 sites (Săbău et al. 2002, Grew et al. 2008).
