Formula:
(Pt,Pd)2Cu3
Chemically related to hongshiite, kitagohaite, UM1986-17-E:CuPt, and 'Unnamed (Pt-Cu Alloy)'.

Co-described with UM1990-14-E:AuCuPt, UM1990-01-As:CuPdPt, UM1990-40-S:CuFePdPtRh, and UM1990-20-E:NiPtSn, the latter possibly identical to nisnite. Also associated is shandite and a Au-Cu-Ag alloy.

Found among many other PGE minerals in heavy mineral concentrates of alluvial origin. Occurs in form of crystallographically oriented, single, exsolved grain, usually below l0 microns in diameter, in iridium.
