Formula:
Ca1.34Mn1.07Y2.75Yb0.38Al0.92Fe0.08Si4B4O21.21(OH)2.79
From Miyawaki et al. (2015)
Colour:
Pinkish yellow
Specific Gravity:
4.06 (Calculated)
Crystal System:
Monoclinic
First Recorded Locality:
A hellandite-(Y) with greater than 1 apfu Mn. Described from the Sc-rich granite pegmatite at Heftetjern, Tørdal, Telemark, Norway where it occurs as tiny pinkish yellow granular crystals (Miyawaki et al., 2015). It varies from hellandite-(Y) in that Mn2+ replaces Ca2+ at the M3 site and there is a significant vacancy at the M4 site. The T site is vacant, and, instead, the O5 position is occupied by (OH)–.
