Formula:
(Fe,Ni,Ir)S
also given as (Fe,Ni,Ir)8S8
Co-described with UM2005-05-Ge:Pd (most likely now known as palladogermanide), UM2005-04-Bi:Pd, UM2005-17-O:CuFePdPt, UM2005-18-O:FeIrRh, UM2005-19-O:IrOs, UM2005-20-OH:CuIrOsRh, UM2005-21-OH:FeIrPtRh, UM2005-22-OH:IrPtRh, UM2005-25-Sb:BiPd, and skaergaardite.
Found intergrown with magnetite and pyrrhotite.
Corresponds to "Table 12, anal. #3". Compare or identical to UM1981-16-S:CuFeIrNiRh, thus status here is set as "probably invalid".
EPMA data [wt.%; 2 analyses]:
Pt 2.13, 1.09
Ir 26.23, 25.54
Rh 2.21, 2.71
Fe 19.21, 19.96
Ni 17.93, 18.31
Cu 2.88, 2.87
S 27.66, 28.29
total 98.24, 98.77
This corresponds to (Fe3.19-3.24Ni2.83Ir1.27-1.20Cu0.42-0.41Rh0.20-0.24Pt0.10-0.05)Σ8.01-7.97S8.
