APStar 6D [APT]

APT Satellite signed in July 2016 a contract with China Great Wall Industry Corp. (CGWIC) of Beijing for the construction and launch of the APStar-6D Ka-band high throughput communications satellite.

APStar 6D was built on CAST's DFH-4E platform. The satellite has a 15 year life time. It will feature an electric propuslion system.

It was launched in July 2020 on a Chinese CZ-3B/G2 booster.
