BanXing 1 (BX 1) was a small, 40 kg technlogy satellite deployed from the crewed Shenzhou 7 capsule.
Banxing 1 was developed and built at the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST).
The satellite was equipped with a 1.4 Megapixel camera.
After photographing Shenzhou-7, it moved away to a distance about several kilometers, and tested constellation flight and station keeping technology with the orbital module over some months following the end of the Shenzhou-7 mission.
