The BlackSky Gen-3 satellites represent BlackSky’s third-generation Earth observation constellation, engineered to deliver very-high resolution imagery, hourly revisit rates, and AI-powered analytics at unprecedented speed. Designed for mission-critical applications, Gen-3 provides dynamic, near real-time intelligence with an emphasis on speed, clarity, and flexibility.

Each Gen-3 satellite is capable of imaging with 35 cm resolution (NIIRS-5+), supports multispectral imaging including shortwave infrared (SWIR), and integrates with low-latency space communications for rapid tasking and data delivery. The satellites are also equipped with a highly agile attitude control system, allowing fast repositioning for efficient coverage.
