Geoskan 2 (Geoscan 2)

Geoskan 2 (also transcribed Geoscan 2) is a Russian 3U CubeSat technology demonstration satellite from GK Geoskan.

The ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) technology, which permits space-based tracking of aircraft position, velocity, and trajectory, is what Geoscan-2 is intended to test. By verifying that ADS-B signals are received from orbit, the satellite will evaluate how well it works for space-based monitoring of unmanned aerial vehicles flying in the atmosphere.
