Gonets-M1

Gonets-M1 [ISS Reshetnev]

Gonets-M1 are next generation versions of the Gonets-M satellites. They will feature a complete new satellite bus. The communications payload wil have ten times the bandwidth of the older Gonets-M satellites and 30 times higher data transmission rate.

A first launch of six Gonets-M1 satellites is planned for 2019 (likely delayed) on a Soyuz-2-1v Volga rocket. This version of Gonets-M1 was cancelled and replaced with a new upgraded Gonets-M1 design.
