GSat 24 [ISRO]
GSAT-24 is a 3-axis body stabilized geostationary communications satellite based on ISROs I-3K (I-3000) bus to provide DTH broadcasting services.
NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), incorporated during March 2019, is a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), under Department of Space (DOS) and is the commercial arm of ISRO.
As part of this initiative, NSIL is now undertaking its 1st Demand Driven communication satellite mission named GSAT-24, which is a 24-Ku band communication satellite weighing 4180 kg with Pan India coverage for meeting DTH application needs. NSIL has leased the entire satellite capacity to M/s Tata Play.
The satellite was launched on board of an Ariane-5ECA+ early in June 2022.
