Optimal 1 is an Japanese technology demonstration 3U CubeSat by ArkEdgeSpace Inc. and the University of Fukui.

The satellite has following mission objectives:

  • Micro-propulsion demonstration
  • Hyperspectral camera demonstration
  • Low-power transmission and reciver Store and Forward demonstration

The satellite was deployed in January 2023 from the International Space Station.
