
SROSS B [ISRO]
SROSS B (Stretched Rohini Satellite Series) was the second satellite in ISRO's SROSS series and to perform experiments in remote sensing and Gamma-ray astronomy.
The satellite body was three axis stabilized with a momentum wheels and magnetic torquers. A Hydrazine based monopropellant reaction control system was also fitted. Power was to be provided by body mounted solar cells and eight deployable fixed solar arrays.
The satellite carried two payloads:
SROSS B was lost in a launch failure of the ASLV rocket. The MEOSS experiment was reflown on IRS 1E and GRB on SROSS C.
