
UPMSat 2 [UPM]
The UPMSat 2 (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid Satellite 2) is an educational, scientific and in-orbit technological demonstration satellite built by the Technical University of Madrid Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM)
Its prime objective is to give students the competences for designing, building, testing, integrating, and operating a small satellite, but whose execution involves all the complexity of a complete space system.
The platform has a volume of 0.5 × 0.5 × 0,6 m3, of which about 40% are available for payloads, and a total mass of about 50 kg. It will operate in a Sun-synchronous orbit at 600 km.
