1st_yr_teachers's Journal

This community was created for first year teachers, but it is our hope that all first year teachers will continue as mentors after the completion of their first year. We also hope that other more experienced teachers/senior teachers will join. Student teachers and those studying to be teachers are also welcome here. This should be a place for us all to share ideas, present problems, ask for solutions and tips, support each other or just share the stories of our particularly good or bad days.

Rules:

1. Follow privacy conventions when discussing students or specific schools. As in, please don't post personally identifiable information about students. Post such information about schools at your own risk. Common sense is your friend here.


2. No garbage. This isn't the place for spam or trolling.


3. Within member discussions, please remain respectful. We won't all agree, and constructive debate is welcome. However, bickering, name-calling, put-downs, etc. -- basically anything that attacks a person rather than discusses a statement -- are not welcome here.


4. If you're including images, writing a long entry, or cross-posting your entry to multiple communities, we'd appreciate an LJ-cut. Thanks!
