After the Lightning: Lightning War Fan Works

afterlightning is a lightningwar and lightning_war fanworks community. Fanfiction, fan art, filk, graphics and anything else fun that has been inspired by either version of LW should be posted here.

Rules:

* Anything that is NSFW (potentially unsafe for the eyes of our employers, our parents, our small children or our teachers) should be placed behind a cut tag, and there should be a warning in or above the cut tag that clicking will reveal NSFW content. Do not use icons which are NSFW when posting.

* We do not use MPAA motion picture ratings, but appropriate warnings for any and all things potentially squickful must be used. There are very few things we don't allow, but if you want to post non-con, please talk to a mod about your story first; we love dubious consent, but there are certain kinds of non-con we don't want here.

* You do not have to be a lightningwar or lightning_war player to join this community and post Lightning War fanfiction, filk, graphics or fan art, but we need to know who you are. We're not hard core about this. If one of the regular players knows you, that'll do.

* It is polite to do one of the following things when posting fanfiction involving Lightning War characters that you did not create, whether or not you are a player: either ask the player to give you a beta to make sure their characters are IC, or post to the effect that you didn't and that the story is completely your own invention and not LW canon. Sometimes players do post actual canon backstory here, so we need to know if your story is or is not intended to be LW canon.

* Specify which canon you are writing to: LW 1.0 (lightningwar) or LW 2.0 (lightning_war), in order to avoid confusion.

* If you are thinking about trying to reconcile LW with HBP, do it in your own journal and wash your hands afterward; I don't want to see it here.

We have had problems with spam and trolling in the past, so anonymous comments will be screened and the IP displayed.

Community membership is open only to people we know, but others are free to friend the community and enjoy the posts. If you want to apply to join the community, please apply to ataniell93, littlewings04 or nicolae.

The Lightning War RPG has been officially AU since June 21st, 2003!
