On Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight"

So...I began reading Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series yesterday. I've been trying to avoid it but my curiosity got the better of me and I bought the first part during lunch yesterday, began reading it during afternoon tea break at work in the same day.




I was a little irritated at first, because in the beginning it seemed almost like a rip-off of L.J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries, only I found I liked Bella a heck of a lot more than I started liking Elena, as they're both alike though Bella's less materialistic than L.J.'s Elena is. Edward is definitely better than Stefan too.

So far I've read up to where Bella and Edward are going to Seattle. I feel like their relationship is very teenager-y, very awkward especially considering the fact that Edward's a vampire and breaking rules to be with her. I also like the gloomy atmosphere Stephenie's writing gives off, and especially for a girl moving from a sunny place like Phoenix to a rainy town like Forks.



So...yeah...it's okay right now. I'm not going to say anymore because I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who wants to read it.
