Man I've been up since 5am and no one will come play with me cause it's still early in the morning. I'm in Atlanta right now. I'm going back to Athens in a few hours to stay for the weekend. Aaaand to move my stuff. and to work and to visit with Ellisface. Rock. Um . . . bought a coffee. It's cold. London was fun, but I don't feel like talking about it. I'm just ready to get on with things. Hey, I sent 8 people postcards. Maybe one of them was you. ~e
my tummy hurts. they're out at some pub drinking but my tummy hurts and i can't. So i'm using my free internet minutes i got this morning for eating breakfast here. Today, we went to Canterbury and saw a big pretty cathedral. Stared at ceilings. A lot of big pretty tall ceilings. One was so pretty, I laid down on the floor so I could get a better look. I was hurting my neck staring at it for so long. It was kinda cooler than Westminster Abbey ... is that okay for me to say? However, the actual town of Canterbury was touristy and lame. There was a fucking Starbucks right next to the entrace of the cathedral. How junky is that? I did take a picture of myself there with my daddy's Ipod just for Jason 'cause he asked. No more dorky pictures for Jason. Just the one will suffice. Last night, we saw Jerry Springer the Opera. Odd and a funny idea. But not funny enough of an idea to be interesting for 2.5 hours. Tomorrow's my last day. I will post again soon, most likely.
Holy crap. Thanks to everyone who recommended TOP SHOP to me. The one in Oxford Circus was possibly the best thing that ever happened to me. I mean, they must've been thinking of me when they designed it. There are nice bathrooms (er . . . "toilets") AND a coffee shop inside and a place where they do manicures and pedicures AND three floors of gorgeous clothes. I was in there all day. Ended up buying a skirt (with a kitty on it!), a wallet, a purse, and ... that's it. I also went to H&M (they call it Henney's here) and bought a shirt and a pair of fuckingbrightgreen pants. Also, went to Westmister Abbey early this morning. Spent an hour and a half just looking around. Lit a candle for my Catholic grandmother. She'll like that. For Scott's mom, last night I bought her a cute little teddy bear dressed like a british police officer as a thankyou present for taking care of my dear sweet Luna while I'm gone. Bought Jason something, too. Can't say what in case he decides to read this. Anyway, that is all. I'm super caffiened right now and my head is buzzing. Everything's moving really fast. Maybe it's all the shopping I did today. I dunno. ~e
Ha! Look at me. I found an internet cafe afterall. But (dummy that I am) I forgot to bring my written journal with me to convert some of the things I said in there onto here. So . . . lemme . . . think . . . what have I done? ( click me damnitCollapse ) Okay, thanks for reading about my trip. More later. ££££ <----look I can do the £ sign.
Well, I'm packing up my stuff! Just a few more things to wash and I'm good to go. How exciting. Thanks to everyone who gave me such good advice on where to go. I wrote it all down. I will post my trip journal when I get back or if I find internet while I'm there, I'll post there. Who knows? God, I can't wait. I need this vacation. And when I get back, everything will be different. Only two more shifts at Blue Sky once I get back. Now I'm kind of excited about that. I'm getting sick of it. Anyway, I'm gonna go pack. ~e
Hello chillens. I'm leaving for London tomorrow! Eep. Soooo . . . today, I am doing birthday stuff with Jason. I think I'm about to call and make dinner reservations and maybe I'll take him to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind since he hasn't seen that yet (but I don't know if we'll have time). Hmmm. Yes, sounds good. I gave him his presents yesterday. Three of my favorite books. I need to go to the bank and take out some money for the trip. Want I want to do in London: go to Abbey Road, buy lots of clothes, go see a play, go out and drink with my stepbrother. Okay, more on that later. I have to go take a shower and call about dinner reservations. Goodbye. ~e
p.s. If you know of any good clothing stores/bars/clubs/restaurants/etc. to go to in London, please LET ME KNOW!
In others news, the move to Atlanta has officially begun as of yesterday. I boxed up my extensive CD/DVD/Book collection along with my cd player, etc. and I am housing it at dear old Scott's mom's house. Clothes will be driven up there on Thursday. My cat on Saturday. Then it's off to London with me for a while. Then when I get back, the rest of my furniture will come on down to the ATL.
My days in Athens are numbered.
So are my days at Blue Sky. I'm working there today, but I think I'm only working 2 more shifts after I get back from London. Luckily, Carrie is a dear and has hooked me up with a job at Urban Outfitters. Carrie and I went in there yesterday and they pretty much hired us both on the spot. That's another huge weight off my shoulders.
Now I have to find my way to a coffee place. Atlanta's weird. ~e
p.s. my new AIM screen name is emilystelephone because i will be using it primarily on my cell phone. So you can IM me practically any time. Word. I'm so fucking available to you.
