Welcome! This is a place to present and discuss theories, speculations, and othersuch about Atlantis - the city, the continent, the civilisation, its fate, even its veracity. Any aspect of the Atlantis legend is up for discussion. Also, feel free to post recommendations of links or books for the perusal of your fellow Atlantologists. We're here to learn!
This is not, however, a fancommunity, so to those of you seeking a fix for your gushing obsession over Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Stargate: Atlantis, Fushigi no Umi no Nadia, or the like, this is probably not the place for you (same goes for the Atlantis Hotel, the NASA Space Shuttle Atlantis, and so on). On the other hand, you are perfectly welcome to discuss here any aspect of Atlantis as is presented in contemporary television/literature/whathaveyou with regards to how it might have actually factored in to the Atlantis legend, or vice-versa.
