Quick answer:

A TikTok Galaxy costs 1,000 coins. At the Axis Intelligence Research US reference rate (October 2026), that is about $10.36 bought on the TikTok website and about $13.30 bought inside the app, roughly 28% more. The creator receives 500 diamonds. Prices vary by country, so the calculator recalculates with the pack price your own app shows.

What This Tool Does

Pick a gift (Rose, Galaxy, Lion, Universe or any coin amount), choose how many you want to send, and the calculator shows the coins you need, what they cost on the web and in the app, the extra you pay in the app, and what the creator receives. It works in any currency: copy one pack price from your recharge screen and every figure follows. You can also enter the coins you already hold, or a budget to see how many gifts it buys.

How Much Is a Galaxy, Lion or Universe on TikTok?

Gifts are priced in coins, and coins are priced in money. The coin price of a gift is the same for everyone in a region; the money price depends on where and how you buy the coins. Axis Intelligence Research reference values, US accounts, October 6, 2026:

Why does the Universe show two prices?

Some regions still list the Universe at 34,999 coins instead of 44,999. Tick the box under the gift grid if your app shows the lower figure. That gift costs whatever your tray says, not what a blog from last year says.

Is It Cheaper to Buy TikTok Coins on the Website?

Yes, in the reference data. The same 1,000 coins cost about $10.36 on the web and $13.30 in the app. We call that difference the Gift Recharge Gap (GRG): the extra money a sender pays for buying coins inside the app instead of on the website. At the reference rates, the GRG is about 28%, or roughly $2.94 per Galaxy and $88 per Lion.

The gap is the fee, wearing a different jacket. The gift doesn’t change, the creator’s diamonds don’t change, only the checkout does. Anyone sending more than a handful of Roses a month is paying a recurring tax on convenience.

How the Calculator Works

Axis Intelligence Research uses five steps:

  1. Coins needed = coins per gift × quantity.
  2. Coins to buy = coins needed − coins already in your balance.
  3. Price per coin = pack price ÷ coins in the pack, separately for web and app.
  4. Cost = coins to buy × price per coin. GRG = app cost − web cost.
  5. Creator side = coins × 0.5 diamonds, with cash shown as a range because the diamond-to-cash value is not fixed.

Example: 5 Galaxies = 5,000 coins. 5,000 × $0.01036 = $51.79 on the web; 5,000 × $0.0133 = $66.50 in the app. GRG = $14.71.

How Much Does a Creator Get From a TikTok Gift?

A gift converts to diamonds at two coins per diamond, so a Galaxy becomes 500 diamonds. The cash value of a diamond is not a fixed published rate, so the calculator gives a range of $0.005 to $0.01 per diamond, about $2.50 to $5 per Galaxy. The sender’s app-store premium never reaches the creator: a Galaxy bought in the app and a Galaxy bought on the web land as the same 500 diamonds.

Why It Matters

Live gifting is spending in small, fast increments. Sending 50 Roses feels like nothing; sending a Lion is a three-figure purchase. Seeing the money price, in your own currency, before tapping “send” is basic budgeting. For creators, the same numbers explain why a “$400 Lion” shows up as far less in the payout.

Limitations

  • TikTok sets coin prices per country and changes them; the defaults are a US reference only. Enter your own pack prices for exact figures.
  • Gift catalogs change with seasons and regions; use the custom field for any gift not listed.
  • Promotions and bonus coins are not modeled.
  • Taxes added at checkout may differ by country.
  • Creator cash is an estimate range, not a payout guarantee.
