We have all experienced a huge tragedy in where the family at Virginia Tech has lost 33 people due to a senseless shooting. May we never forget those who lost their lives and those who did everything they could to save others that were in the line of fire.
We all have a finite period on this earth, and we need to make the most of our lives every day. No one knows when it will be our time, except the great creator above us. One thing I do know is that actions of heroes will always be remembered, and those we have lost will never be forgotten.

Well, it has finally happened. I went down to Pittsburgh, PA yesterday and ended up getting my new apartment. Now, hopefully I do get the job offer at the place I want to work at. If that happens, I will have my place secured and then move in on March 3rd.
As for a going away party, there will definitely be one. |

Erika Johnson, a 21 year-old UB Grad and Lewiston Resident is battling an aggressive form of acute Leukemia. Many of Erika's treatments are experimental and not covered by insurance.

Ok...I was surprised to find this out earlier today since I have known Erika for a while. We both went to NCCC together and had a few classes together, did a business project together, and know that she was definitely a cool person to spend time with. I feel like I'm obligated in some way to help her out since most of what she is trying is all experimental. Hmm...if anyone around here knows her or how to get a hold of her to say hi and help out, let me know.
The biggest thing that we can do is believe that there will be a good outcome and always hope for the best. Never look back on things because you never know what the next day can bring. My prayers to Erika in hoping that the treatments will work for her and that she will be able to get back to a normal life. |

Hey everyone. Well, back on July 19th youll remember that I was having a rough day because it was the day I had to put my dog Lacie to sleep. Well 9 months and 4 days later, I have a new puppy here in the house.
Welcome home Kylie!!
Kylie turned 7 wks old today and she is a purebred yellow lab. She was the biggest female out of the litter and is very mellow. So far, all I can say is she is smart as hell already since she is already carrying her food dish when she is hungry and already going outside with no problems. Also she eats like a horse lol.
Well, its gonna be fun having a pup again.:) |

Hi everyone. I am debating the move from here to Greatest Journal. There are some reasons for it. 1 is that with Greatest Journal you get much better features for free, including 1GB of images that can be stored on there. It is the same software as LJ, and also after having problems both with LJ in the past (outages) and with my communities (don't want to go there), its a possibility I could make the move.
If I do move to Greatest Journal, how many of you would want to join me? |
