These United States!

Anyone else into These United States (the band)? They're touring all over the place right now with a ton of great bands like Dr. Dog, The Hold Steady, The Walkmen and Deer Tick. I'm got into them after checking out their busking session at Washington Square Park (part of my phase listening to not-so-impromptu take-away/acoustic sets). Check it out: http://www.baeblemusic.com/concertvideo/WashingtonSquarePark/TheseUnitedStates.html

If people have any recommendations of bands like These United States I'd love to hear 'em!

If you're in the area come out and show some support for us. We'll be supporting our new album, "How Satan Stole My Heart", on Von Skull Records and we'll have new tshirts, a new stage setup and some other crazy suprises as well.
It's definitely going to be a show worth seeing.
Come up and talk to us and hang out with us. We love seeing friendly faces on the road.
See you all there.

Hey, is anyone here looking forward to the new albums of two of my favorite bands: the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam. I'm actually also going to see Pearl Jam live on May 30 =D

I was also wondering if anyone here happens to like music by:

-the Pixies
-Sonic Youth
-Screaming Trees
-Mudhoney
-the Melvins

It seems that they're so unknown these days. Anyone a fan like me?? :)

Katrina Relief

Michael Stipe along with other musicians and artists have created a great short documentary film, In The Sun, that has been on Sundance Film Channel and is now on their website. The film shows what they are doing, through music, to help the Hurricane Katrina victims. They have released an EP on itunes whoms profits will be donated to an organization for relief of the victims. Check out the site for a 15 minute preview and now they have the full 41 minute film up and after you watch it, let me know what you all think of it.
