Rorik's Retirement Ruminations

I'm a RETIRED computer programmer. Some might debate that as I always programmed in COBOL. I started programming in 1971. Mainframes all the way. Born in Pittsburgh and raised about 30 miles down the Ohio in Monaca, PA. Joined the Air Force right out of high school in 1964. Lackland AFB, TX to Keesler AFB, MS to Osan AFB, Korea back to Keesler AFB and then to Athens AFB, Greece. Got a QC job in a factory and didn't like it so went to a community college to learn something to get out of the factory and into an office. Fell into computers. Had a half dozen always better jobs over the next few years. Met My Lady at a SF con where she was recruiting for a local medieval recreation group. Married her and we have two kids, girl and boy, now full adult (Hmmmm.... they take after us... I may have gotten older, but I refused to grow up!) I'm a Baron in the SCA and my arms are a greygoose in flight with a coronet around its neck on a blue field.
