To create a community for those of the African Diaspora who are Pagan, Wiccan, Witch and meet others
Black Pagans is to provide a place for those of the African Diaspora to be amongst themselves and to meet others who are also Black and Pagan.

Hopefully this will provide a great ice breaker for those nervous.
With that said, the rules are:
1. No Bashing - Pagan but also happen to be homophobic or mysogynist? Ban-hammer. Racist? Ban-hammer. I'm generally kind to small offenses and will give a stern word of warning on the off-chance you didn't know you were being stupid but obvious signs of bigotry will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.
2. Keep it PG - Okay, PG-13 but if it's R, please put behind a cut and warn with a (NSFW) but no NC-17, mate. That's gonna get taken down.
3. Keep the coonery to a low - See BET? Familiar with XXL Magazine? Understand the term Blacksploitation? Yeah, none of that if you can. We're a Black community, not an online minstrel show, if you gotta post about some two chicks fighting in the park and not going to create legit discussion, it's getting taken down and you're getting a warning and keep it up, permabanned.
4. No spell recipies - Okay, the small stuff is fine so long they are tips and little bits to help people out but nothing full blown, okay? And they can't be jinxes or curses, no harming anyone
5. Spell/Divination Requests - Nopies. "Put your buckets down where they are, there's diamonds in your own backyard." - Booker T. Washington. (In other words, you can ask for help and tips but otherwise, do it yourself)
6. Gotta type without ignorance - Yeah, I'm afraid you're going to have to type like you've actually seen a book before. No txt speak, 1337 5p34!< and no typing like shift or puncuation keys never existed. Black slang? Perfectly fine! We are a Black community after all! Terrible writing skills? Not fine at all.
7. Wacked out theories are a no no - Is Jay-Z a Satanist? No. Kanye West part of the Illuminati? God, no. Lupe Fiasco and Janelle Monae part of a subvert plan to take over the world for the Free Masons? Where do you come up with this stuff? Occultism is perfectly fine but conspiracy theories have got to be taken elsewhere. It's crazy talk and is just going to turn into a peanut gallery with a GTFO in the end because it will probably be taken down.
8. Metaphysics and psionics are a yes yes - Interested in telekinesis, remote viewing and other parts of psionics and intuition? Come on down! So long you're not foaming at the mouth about it, it's totally acceptable. Speaking of foaming at the mouth...
9. No preaching - This is kinda like rule #1 but on a religious lean. I don't expect every single person in this community to be Pagan but if you joined the community because you want to save everyone's soul or because you think we're devil-worshippers or something wack like that, maybe it's best you save the chatter and move along. Talk like that will get you a warning and even permaban if you push it the matter too much.
Okies. Hopefully this comm goes well! Since it's all new, the rules will be modified and everything with time.
