I know, I haven't updated since fall! I've been a bit busy with life and this new blog. But I have this and another update coming up.

There's even a "Bah Humbug" icon in there. I don't hate Christmas, but I'm really not feeling it this year. So icon #30 is for those of you who are, like me, feeling really "meh" this year. There's always next year.

Enjoy!

It's been about a year since I last posted icons. If you're wondering why that it is, you can find a summary here.

Note: To make things less complicated for myself, I will no longer be posting at adopt_me. While I think it's a great community, I figure that by now they have a new mod or two and I don't want to have to explain, again, that my journal is public (which is why I was allowed to direct link to my entries there) and the reason I do direct linking is to keep track of who takes my icons without having to hunt through several communities. So I'm just going to skip them...but so far, I've been posting at all of the regular communities. And if anyone has suggestions for me, let me know in the comments. =)

Wow, I've been gone a long time--almost a year! I'll explain a couple things, but I won't go too far in depth.

Last December, I got a new job. I worked a lot of overtime and was too exhausted to do icons when I got home.  So there was reason number one. In February, I had a lot of personal problems, which made my life hell.

I wound up quitting my job because of some extremely unsafe (i.e., potentially life-threatening) working conditions that I didn't even come close to being paid enough to deal with and my boss wasn't doing a very good job of preventing. I really can't tell you anything specific for legal reasons--some of these conditions may or may not be going to court. So I'll just say I worked with some people who need to be committed/sent to jail and leave it at that. I now have a new job where I can essentially work from home. All is well again.

And it seems the arrival of autumn has been enough inspiration for me to start making icons again. I have about 90 right now and I'll be uploading them soon. I'm very excited to be posting again.  ^_^

(I seem to be having layout issues. Guys: don't ever use Fotki to host images. They're great if you have the money to pay for the service...but if you use their free service they will let your images FREQUENTLY disappear into cyber space. And if you call them out on it, they'll put them back for a couple days and say, "I don't know what you're talking about.  They're right there." And then let them disappear again. Ugh. I've been slowly moving things over to Photobucket...I hope to finish eventually. -_- I also just edited this post to add a section on image hosts.)

Sorry I've been so absent!  I got a new laptop and lost the external hard drive that contained the installation files for Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.  But I have them back now, so let the icon-making continue! =D

I'm sorry there are so few of these.  I've been finding it more and more difficult to find decent Hanukkah pictures and, since I don't celebrate Hanukkah, I can't take any myself.  =(  If you have any pictures you wouldn't mind me using, I will make another post!  Just PM me and let me know you have some.

I went through some of the posts I've made since about April or May and fixed some broken images.  By the way, if you're looking for an image hosting website, DO NOT go with Fotki.  I have never had so many problems with broken images and every time I try to send them a message asking them to fix it, they tell me they don't see anything wrong.  So avoid Fotki and use Photobucket instead.

Oh, and if you see anymore broken images, please let me know so I can fix them.  Thanks!

My next post will probably be a Christmas set.  But I'm also working on a Hanukkah set.  The unfortunate thing is that there aren't many decent Hanukkah pictures out there and I only have 13 icons...while I have over 100 with the Christmas set.  Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can find a lot of really nice Hanukkah pictures?

I found my jump drive!  Don't you just love when you find something you gave up looking for while you're trying to find something else?  Fun fun.  So now I have a post for you!! =D

I've been looking everywhere for my jump drive and I still can't find it.  So as soon as I get over the flu, I'm going to just make a new icon set to post.  I'm sorry I've been so neglectful.

As for the surprise I told you about a few months ago, I have Pottermore sig tags! :D  As soon as Pottermore opens to the public, I will post those.  I thought it would open at the beginning of October, but they keep putting it off (which I suspected would happen because Sony is SUCKING at running the beta--it is so unorganized and poorly thought out), which is why you haven't seen those yet.

I need to take some more drugs now.
