Hello, and welcome to the opening of a brand new community.. ~c0ntr0versial, dedicated to the controversy and debate over Avril Lavigne. Is she really as much of a skater punk as she makes herself out to be, or is she just being true to herself? Secondly, what genre is her music? Is it pop or punk..? I don't have that many rules here, being that I decided to make a community like this because it would prevent people from spamming the anti-Avril or pro-Avril communities in defense or spite of Avril Lavigne, so.. I would appreciate it that being that now there is a community like this, take your debates here instead of flaming the anti-Avril community or the pro-Avril community. They were made for a reason, not to cross-reference your opinion in the hope you would sway theirs. But this community was made for just that. But here goes nothing. Here is a brief list of rules which you all may find simple to follow.
1.) Back up what you have to say about your stance on Avril. I don't care how you do it as long as you're not viciously out to hurt another member of this community or something like that, but I would really like to hear more than "Avril is so cool!" or "How can people like her!? She sucks so much!" with nothing else added on. Part of having a debate is telling the other side why you believe in what you believe, so.. hey. Not a hard rule to follow.
2.) Do not attack the people who believe in what you don't for no reason. Okay, this rule's probably going to turn it into a free-for-all fight. But I would really rather not hear things like "Anyone who hates Avril has nothing better to do with their time because they have no lives!" or "People who like Avril are teeny-boppers who follow the fashion cult!" However, if you can reasonably back up what you have to say.. I'll probably be fine with it as long as you don't make it a point to insult the fans of or haters of Avril Lavigne.
3.) Post any pictures you have in a journal cut. Some of us have slower modems, so if you want to show off your pictures of Avril Lavigne being a poser.. I don't care, fine with me. But don't spam our friends' lists with picture on top of picture, though I'm fine with an icon or two because hey, they're not that big.
4.) Don't harass other bands too much. If you can tie it in to Avril Lavigne, such as her liking Good Charlotte.. go for it, but please don't begin bashing or harassing another band or musician for no reason just because you can. This community is an Avril Lavigne debate community, not a free-for-all.. but I'm sure if I see something that strikes me as poignant, I might make a few exceptions.
Well, have fun! Happy debating. I don't care if you make it heated, either.. because that is the point of a debate, to stir emotions up and get people heated about what they believe in to a point. So go for it! Tell us what you think of her..
