What a fun filled day of homework and eating out - wait, neither of those are that fun…
I did plant a little deck garden with the kids. Phoenix planted the peas and Scarlett planted the beans. I transplanted the lettuce, and planted chamomile, strawberries and carrots. I’ll take pictures when there is more than just dirt in bags.
The kids played outside on the deck with me until Scarlett fell and scrapped her knee. Last summer, Scarlett would fall and wouldn’t even notice she was hurt, even with blood dripping down her leg. But now? She cries and cries and nurses it for days and insists on needing a bandaid for days. It’s so funny because we certainly have never encouraged that.
I got an essay finished today. I have very little homework left now. But it still feels like so much.
Oh the pain! This God damn F-ing hip!!!!! Ugh. Now that I have that out of the way...
Today was supposed to be about homework but I just couldn't focus. I did get two out of five assignments done so that was better than nothing. Plus, I got this really great message from my teacher on my grades for one of my classes: Wonderful job, Elizabeth! Not only do you have a stellar original post (EXACTLY what I am looking for) but you also have fabulous response posts. You push people's thinking, you engage in friendly debate and you encourage the best in others. Tremendous work! It made me feel really good. So, I (so far) have 100% in two classes and 96% in one. I'd love to see some nice high A's this term. Only ten weeks left.
I'm getting really excited about my vegetable garden. I can't wait to get my seeds and start them. I am going to try to stagger planting this season so that we can have veggies all through the summer. Plus I want to freeze and save a lot too. I'm really hoping it all works out well. I got an insert for my aerogarden so that I can start the seedlings. It's looks like it will be pretty perfect. But it also has me thinking about getting another house a lot. I want to get going and get out of here so I can start planting.
I wanted to sing, too. I was highly discouraged by my mother (who put TWO of my brothers through arts school). She wanted me to do something "stable" and reliable... i.e. nursing. Well, here I am.…
I'd really like to be able to do more with crafts. Time and money limit me a LOT. I don't see that getting better anytime soon. LOL I like your goals. Most of them seem fun. People ususally…
You and Ethan are so lucky to have each other. Not too many marriages weather the storms you've faced together. You have a relationship to be envied, that's for sure!
