11th-Mar-2010 05:07 am - Kink Meme Archive
Since the st_tos_kink community only has an archive for the filled prompts and it was such a pain finding anything when I felt like filling something, I have made an archive for all prompts (with tags for filled or unfilled). I made it mostly for my own convenience, but think it might be helpful for others as well, so I thought I'd offer the link:

10th-Jan-2010 07:20 pm - Star Trek magazine downloads
[Originally posted a week ago on ontd_startrek and thought I'd re-post here. :)]

I had to work on New Year's Eve day and since only about 5 other people were in the office, I decided to make good use of the office equipment. I bring you the December 2009 and January/February 2010 issues of Star Trek magazine. They're HQ PDF scans so all the text is legible. Just open with Adobe Reader, zoom in if necessary and there ya go! :)

The December issue covers villains, including Nero/Eric Bana, Q/John de Lancie, and of course Khan/Ricardo Montalban. It also includes a Q&A with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman about STXI (Is Amanda really dead?, What about Spock's "biological imperative" Pon Farr?)

The January/February issue covers Star Trek: The Motion Picture, including an interview with Walter Koenig. It also has an article about what happened to Winona Kirk after the Kelvin.

5th-Jul-2009 07:38 pm - Star Trek anniversary specials
Has anyone watched that?

That`s cool. Especially for Bill Shatner and Leonard Nimoy fans. (I for myself think it`s mean that just these two are doing the host).

I remember that I watched the 30th anniversary in german television. I was young, hadn`t heard many english names before and was so confused how some of them were named rightly. I still have problems with the name Cirroc Lofton, lol.

13th-Jun-2009 05:28 pm - promo shots and clippings
After following a couple of links from tawg's post about the Trek podcast, I've just spent the last couple of hours clicking around a really great Star Trek Scrapbook blog. It's got a ton of magazine clippings, promo photos, and other stuff like Star Trek stamps and trading cards and comics.

(I shrank these down, by the way, but there are nice big versions if you follow the link, and seriously lots more photos. :)

13th-Jun-2009 12:06 pm - Look at his Butt
Since it seems like there are a lot of us who are discovering/rediscovering Trek, I through I'd share a resource that I've found invaluable over the past few years:

Look At His Butt: The podcast where LT and JK, two geek babes, talk about Star Trek, science fiction, books, TV, the Internet, sex toys, and William Shatner's butt.

It's a great podcast, with over one hundred episodes. There are episode reviews, discussions about the sheer amount of Trek crap out there, and (perhaps my favourite element) they talk a lot about fandom. There's some poking fun at rabid fans, and some interviews with people who have contributed a lot, but there's also convention reports and some talk about the early days of Trek fandom, back when everything was run through zines.

Anyway, I definately recommend that you check it out.
