Oh, Julian...

Anyone still watching who has seen Phantom of the Opera (1998)? I only learned of it's existence after seeing some icons and then reading THIS hilarious review.

Hello all! It's unfortunate that there's been little activity in here of late, so I brought you all a present. ;)

I suppose I should make a brief intro first. While I don't have as much free time as I'd like for LJ, I have managed to put some time aside more recently for the wonderful Mr. Sands. I'd heard of him, seen a few pictures, marveled at his loveliness before, but it wasn't until earlier this year that I actually grew to appreciate him. Then I began hunting down all the images and movies I could get my hands on. I'm not even close to completing that goal yet, but one movie I have seen was Romasanta. I found it interesting -- it had its pros and cons like most films -- and enjoyed Julian's performance greatly. Some time later, I found a clip from the movie on the web. I thought I'd share it with you all, for those who haven't had opportunity to see Romasanta. Or for those who are nostalgic. ;) It's brief, but quite intense. It shows a rather steamy scene from the movie, and not just because it features a bath. ;) Enjoy, and I hope this rekindles some Julian__love_. ;)

Hi there! Just thought I'd do some shameless pimping for my new community, very much heavily biased towards Julian! It's called manly_arms, and it's a Room with a View community (if you don't get the reference then you must beg, borrow or steal a copy of the book or Merchant Ivory's fabulous production!) Any Julian fan would be welcome there to bring graphics, Julian news, or just plain squeeness about his wonderful character, George, in the film.

If I'm in trouble for plugging my comm, I'm very sorry, but I'm just trying to bring Julian fans together as there seem to be too little of us for it all to go to waste!

Hope to see you soon!!

Julian in pilot

After losing track of him for awhile, Julian's guest shots on two of the Law & Order series last year got me interested in him all over again (my first flush of love had, of course, been A Room with a View twenty years ago.  So I've been busily trying to catch anything that comes along, and yesterday had the pleasure of watching him in Dark King: The Dragon King on the Sci Fi Channel, an adaptation of the Siegfried legend.  That's what the screencap is from (the guy on the right is Benno Furhman, as Siegfried).  And yes, that's Julian with dark hair and beard, and a scar on his face.  Which is why I heard him before I "saw" him. *g*

It turned out to be a fairly substantial role, far more than I was expecting anyway, and not a bad movie/mini series overall, and once I got used to it, the dark hair worked for me pretty nicely.

Anyway, just wanted to fangirl about it a little.
