At least the special midnight showing. I can't afford the difference between the funds we've raised and the minimums for theater and caterer. Since it's opening weekend, no discounts either.

Pending what the folks who have already bought tickets say, I will either be refunding all the money or purchasing advance tickets to the 9:30 show. The location is now up for debate as well.

Sigh. I really wanted this to work... I thought I would get 100 ppl, which would have more than paid for everything. But I got 15, despite e-mail and advertising to more than 5,000 people. Sigh. Sorry, dashenka!

Doors open at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 25, for a 12:01 a.m. showing of "The X-Files: I Want To Believe. A short program hosted by dashenka will be held at 11:30.

Cost: $20 for food, beverage and movie ticket. Almost half of the ticket will be donated to Bridges to Safety, which dashenka directs. (She's also Dasha K, don'tcha know.)

If you live anywhere near St. Paul, Minnesota, please consider attending the XF2 Benefit Bash on the weekend of the premiere.

The price is $20 for movie and food and festivities. The movie will be shown at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 26 (late Friday, really, but we can't start the movie until Saturday) at either the Grandview or Highland Theaters in St. Paul. Both are historic venues with Art Deco interiors. We'll be serving heavy appetizers of the sweet and savory variety. We're working on some XF2 promotional material for prizes, but don't count on it.

All proceeds will benefit a domestic abuse prevention agency that's directed by dashenka, aka Dasha K for you fanficcers out there. A web page with a PayPal link will be up soon... in the meantime, you can e-mail copygirl48 AT gmail DOT com or just reply here if you're interested.
