Since this group is dead I've made a new one over here - http://cosplaysuits.livejournal.com/

Hope any and all you cosplay suiters join!

Is anyone alive out there!! Can anyone hear me!!

But in all seriousness, this community address a topic that seems relevant to my interests. A shame it's been a year since the last post. Are there any other places that cover this specific kind of cosplay? I've seen the thread at cosplay.com but that doesn't seem to get much use either. It would be cool to team up with other suiters on a project and meet at a con. Heck I haven't even had a chance to debut Lucario at a real event yet.

Hi I looking for a Quote on a pair of Mightyena ears for a Mightyena cosplay. I would like them to Authentic to the Pokemon. I would like them be ready for Bakuretsu Con this October.

Hey! I haven't died yet. I've just been saving up enough money to get stuff so I can move on to my prized gem once I have enough skills. :)

So, I thought I'd tackle on a much simpler project for Halloween; and this will be my first partial.
Anyone familiar with the character Bubsy the Bobcat? If not, this is probably a good picture of him:

Anyway, this is the stuff I got so far: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d53/SonarP/100_1648.jpg
It includes:
2 yards of 1/2" (inch) upholstery foam
2 yards of plush fur
1/2 a yard of white faux fur
1/2 a yard of peach felt
.417 yards of polyester (Metric system is something I'm going to become very friendly with soon...o.o")

I've got the basics in sewing notions, but I'd like to know...am I already baking a recipe for failure? I bought extra just in case I might need any, but I think I might need more stuff.

Hey everyone! This is sonic, I was just wondering if anyone was going to attend geek kon or daisho con this year. If anyone is then would they want tosee sonic? Hopefully I have my suit by hen so I can show it off. If nothing else I can post pics for all to see.

Hey everyone is anyone available for comissions? Just wondering thanks

My Cream the Rabbit costume (from Sonic the Hedgehog) is for sale on http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction/item.pl?item=232353431

:D

Okay, so I finally got a hold of a sewing machine.
I know it's a Singer. However, I checked the website, and it might be one of those really old models that isn't featured on the site anymore. Has anyone seen it? Any luck with it?

I heard about this group right before it went to what it is now.
I'll be making my first suit. *points to profile pick* ....which is pretty big and ambitious right now. I got some help for it, but I'm JUST about to start out. I haven't even gotten a sewing machine for myself yet--and so I wonder, what's the "quintessential" fursuit kit for newbies, and what places would you recommend would I get more bang for my buck?
I saw a sewing machine at Wal-Mart for 39.99/40.00 bucks--it's small, but it looks like I can use it; and it doesn't appear as though it's just a toy, ether.
