Hey! This is a general exchange letter that can and has been used in place of a letter specific to any sort of exchange. I've fixed the format so there are dropdown arrows. Removing the unnecessary spaces between the arrows causes immense frustration so I've opted not to do that. I'm sure you understand.
I'm going to create a list of all the prompts I've given in the past so I can vaguely go 'look here' during future gift exchanges, but in the meantime, this is finally formatted decently.
General Notes
• Treats are enabled and appreciated! Both fic and art are welcome, regardless of the exchange and whether or not I requested art (I always request fic.)
• Fics rated General-Mature are fine with me.
• I enjoy anything from Gen to Other, but I have a soft spot for femslash where possible, as long as it's not forced.
• If a DNW of mine appears in canon, I’d rather you avoid mentioning it or having it appear in your gift.
• I appreciate gifts of all lengths.
• While I do almost exclusively write in third person POV, I do love first and second person.
• Same with tenses. I only write in present tense, but I’d gladly enjoy a fic with past or even future tense.
Do Not Wants
• Explicit, on-page sex (fade to black is fine)
• Mpreg (including trans men)
• Infidelity between requested characters/used as a plot device
• X readers
• Hogwarts AUs, as well as any references to the Harry Potter franchise
• Omegaverse or omegaverse dynamics
• Torture in any capacity
• Incest (between blood relatives, adopted family members or people who considered themselves family but technically aren’t are fine) [the adopted family members & people who consider themselves family part is only DNWed in requests for The Fosters/Good Trouble]
• Unrequested permanent death of requested character(s) (if the character dies or is already dead in canon, this DNW does not apply)
• Crackfic [by this, I mean absurd/surreal/ridiculous/impossible situations that wouldn’t be possible for the fandom—even with AUs—that were written for the sake of humour, regardless if they were meant to be taken seriously - think sudden death in an overall lighthearted fandom, or 'everything's the same but there's aliens now' kind of thing]
• Any sort of mind control
• Any references to COVID-19
• Soulmate AUs that are explicit about or imply that your soulmate is your “one true love”/indicate that soulmates are more important than platonic relationships
Common DNWs I'm fine with
• addiction• background canon or non-canon ships
• bigotry (not by/from characters requested)
• crossovers (between any of the fandoms I've ever requested)
• eating disorders / self-harm / suicide attempts / general self-destruction
• first & second person POV
• fusions (I don't need to know the canon)
• lgbtq+ headcanons, including asexual/aromantic/trans/nonbinary/really, whatever it is headcanons
• unhappy endings
• unrequited love/one-sided relationships
