Hey there,
I collect dead animals and preserve them as a hobby... recently my friends two giant emperor scorpions have expired and he offered the bodies to me.
Now, normally with mammals and herps I just pop them in a special preserving agent and it's all good (or like with a few of my dead crows and toads, dry them out and 'mummify' them so they can be kept on a stand).
I was curious as to how to go about preserving these scorps... I have had them around 4 months now in a box and they have not deteriorated, I am guessing this is because of their carapace and how it does not rot as fast perhaps?
I just wanted some tips on preserving them, ideally I did not want to put them in any fluids as I like seeing them out (they don’t even look dead its amazing).
Any replies are mostly appreciated thank you.
