Top of Castle
Seeing everyone fight alongside each other...
Do you get it now?
This isn't only about Asgore.
Everyone... has spent their whole lives as flowers.
Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Aqua, Seth...
Today, all of them, for the first time...
... have been able to know their own smiles.
Flowery, Chapter 5
Top of Castle (JP: 天守最上階 Tenshu Saijōkai) is a location in Chapter 5 of Deltarune, and the rooftop of the eponymous Flower Castle where the world's Dark Fountain is located.
At the gauntlet's entrance, Flowery converses with the other six flowers before attempting to convince Asgore to spend more time with them. Asgore bluntly asks Flowery to send him directly to the Dark Fountain's location, as he intends to confront the creator of the Fountain. Flowery complies and sends Asgore to the Fountain just as the party arrives.

Before heading off, Flowery reminds the party of his goal, warning them that he and the other flowers will do everything to stop them. Blue, on the other hand, remarks on the area being a battle of will between the party and the flowers. Despite this, the party remains defiant and pushes forward.
The party traverses through multiple obstacles formed by the flowers, each one fighting with everything to protect their newfound happiness. On the first long staircase section, Flowery informs the party that this battle is not just about Asgore, it is about everyone who spent their entire lives as flowers and the experience of feeling genuine joy for the first time. Ralsei counters that leaving too many Dark Fountains active brings about the Roaring, only for Flowery to suggest sealing Castle Town's Dark Fountain instead. Susie immediately rejects the idea and refuses to give up on the place she calls home.

On the second long staircase section, Ralsei rushes to attack Flowery, demanding him to stop dragging things out. Flowery questions Ralsei why he continues to oppose him and challenges his stance on fulfilling one's purpose. Ralsei angrily insists that he must follow the rules or otherwise everything will fall apart before remaining silent upon being asked what he truly desires.
Eventually, the party nears the Fountain, where Flowery gives them one last chance to resolve the conflict peacefully, which is rejected by progressing. Flowery explains his motive for keeping the Dark World active and engages the party in battle using the combined powers of his recruits and the other six flowers. Following Flowery's defeat, Kris collapses, drawing Asgore's attention as he rushes to their side. Realizing what his actions have brought upon himself, Asgore resolves to move on and drops his obsession with the Dark World. Flowery then allows the party to seal the Dark Fountain.

The party bids farewell to the other six flowers, who all thank them for watching their dreams before reverting back into their original forms as flowers. After Kris seals the Fountain, the Dark World remains active as another Fountain has taken its place. The Knight arrives and captures Asgore. Flowery attempts to stop the Knight but is bisected across his midsection. As the Knight leaves the Dark World with Asgore in tow, the party finds Flowery fatally wounded. Flowery warns them of a great darkness stirring underneath Hometown and wishes them well before reverting back into a golden flower. Ralsei remains by Flowery's side as Kris and Susie seal the second Fountain.
Top of Castle is a primarily outdoor area, interspersed with few indoor rooms. These areas commonly feature similar flooring as in Flower Castle, but the walls and ceiling bordering walkable areas are often emblazoned with a gilded Delta Rune. While many outdoor areas are open and leave the background clearly visible, some are enclosed in segmented, cross-hatched walls.
The background features similar traditional Japanese architecture to that which characterized Flower Castle. The sky is an orange and purple gradient and hosts clouds that swiftly scroll across.
The Beginning[1] is a small area taking place immediately outside the castle. The area contains a SAVE point, and the path veers to the right. The Dark Fountain can be seen in the distance.

To the east is a longer area divided into three sections separated by small flights of stairs. The first two sections host small platforms near the edge, from which a Shinobeetle appears and attempts to attack the party. Contact with the Shinobeetles triggers a unique enemy encounter involving Seth. If the party makes it to the end without triggering the encounter, Seth appears and triggers it by force.
When backtracking to the area following this event, a more standard encounter against two Shinobeetles can be triggered by the Shinobeetles that reappear.
Further east is a large room that begins with a Mysterious Statue, beginning a platforming segment. The party encounters Blue, who subjects the party to a platforming gauntlet with Yellow's aid.

Blue provides cloud platforms that the party can use to jump across the large chasm. However, after the initial few clouds, the rest are populated with blue flowers which cause Yellow to take aim at and shoot the cloud if destroyed. The blue flowers take up most of the clouds, but the party can stand on the edge of each platform without triggering the attack.
Eventually, the clouds lead the party to a long vertical shaft that is initially blocked. Using the bounce flowers, Kris can destroy the blue flower hanging from under the block to trigger a shot from Yellow. This allows the party to ascend the shaft.
The shaft consists of a vertical ascent up many cloud platforms. The platforms are initially stationary, but eventually begin to move horizontally from side to side. The speed at which these platforms move increases as the party ascends higher. Meanwhile, a gun bullet pattern takes aim at and destroys each cloud the party lands on.
A Mysterious Statue is present at the end of the room, and a pathway leads further east.
This room undergoes slight changes after the initial gauntlet. Due to Blue and Yellow's absence, there are no blue flowers, and loose Flowery Dollars can instead be collected above some of the blue clouds. A bounce flower at the shaft instantly transports Kris to the top.
The next room is an indoor area, which consists of gold flooring and a long staircase. Here, Flowery appears and speaks to the party. The pathway at the top of the staircase veers to the south.

The area outside the staircase begins with another Mysterious Statue. A dash gate next to the statue begins a dashing segment. The path is broken up by gaps separating platforms at various heights. These gaps are crossed using bounce flowers, which launch Kris into short trails of Flowery Dollars.
Past the first bounce flower is a segment on which Aqua begins a gauntlet. Here, Aqua launches trails of knife bullet patterns that must be jumped over to avoid damage.
Past this gauntlet is a short section with two more bounce flower platforms. Kris then jumps to another Aqua gauntlet ending in a forced encounter against three Shis commanded by Seth. After defeating the Shis, the path ends with a Mysterious Statues and a doorway leading indoors.
Upon backtracking to this area from the right, an encounter against three Floradinns blocks the way to a Starwalker sighting. Starwalker transforms into the Final Starwalker when spoken to.
The second staircase is an indoor room similar to the first, where Flowery speaks to the party again. The top of the staircase holds a pathway that continues east.

Green's Shop[2] functions as a checkpoint area. Green mans a counter from which they sell items. To the left of the counter is a SAVE point followed by a shortcut door. The pathway continues further east.
Green sells the same restorative items as last time, but all items and armor cost 1 more Dark Dollar than usual, alongside a NetskieHat replacing the RedRibbon.
Selecting the RSVP option informs the party of whether they have LOST recruits, spared all recruits, or still have recruits remaining to find. If there are recruits left to find, the RSVP option's text slowly changes hues, from white to red.
| Item | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| OrangeJuice | 223 D$ | +80HP |
| Flavigne | 334 D$ | +130HP |
| GreenTea | 778 D$ | +180HP |
| NetskieHat | 1501 D$ | +6DF |
The next area is a large, vertical room hosting an elaborate platforming segment. The segment is divided into four layers that the party travels across in a serpentine fashion.

Kris can attempt to ascend this room by manually calling upon Susie's and Ralsei's ACTs when available. These must be done in quick sequence since the delay before each ACT is fully applied can often result in Kris falling to the ground. After two failed attempts, Susie and Ralsei automatically perform their ACTs without Kris's explicit commands, albeit only for this room.
The room begins with a Mysterious Statue followed by a bounce flower which takes the party across a gap in the room. The other side contains a closed bounce flower that can be opened using Susie's S-Action. A zip-line is situated directly above the bounce flower, which Ralsei can hang from using his R-Action.
The zip-line takes the party to another closed bounce flower which, when opened, boosts Kris up to a stationary hook. Kris then jumps to a series of three bounce flowers, the last of which is closed. The last bounce flower boosts Kris up to a set of two stationary hooks leading to another zip-line. While on this zip-line, a shuriken bullet pattern begins to chase the party across the remainder of the room.

The zip-line takes the party to a set of two bounce flowers, the first of which is closed, boosting them to a set of four hooks. Kris jumps across each hook to a bounce flower, boosting them to a final closed bounce flower which takes them to the top of the room. Here, a scene plays out in which Ralsei uses a previously unseen fire spell against an incoming shuriken.
The top of the room features two pathways to the east and west.
If the party fails to ascend the room 10 times,[3] A portion of the eastern wall on the ground level disappears, revealing a hidden chamber. This chamber contains the platform pumpkin, and hanging from it causes it to repeatedly stretch and contract.
The western path from the platforming ascent leads to an optional challenge room. Here, Ralsei notes that this is not the way to the Dark Fountain. This room is divided into two sections, separated by a pit leading down to a hidden room. Both sections consist of a chasm and a set of bounce flowers hanging from above. A rose bush stretches just above each chasm, filled with blue thorned roses.

The first section initially consists of two vertically-oriented bounce flowers swaying back and forth, leading to a small checkpoint in the middle. Past the checkpoint is a larger chasm with four more bounce flowers, with the middle two surrounded by knife bullet patterns. The outer two bounce flowers sway back and forth, and the middle two remain stationary.
The central pit contains three semi-solid platforms oriented in a triangle formation. A large Flowery Dollar coin floats just above the pit.
Past the pit is the room's second section, which is similar to the first and consists of three neutrally-oriented bounce flowers hanging above a chasm. These bounce flowers sway back and forth. At the end of this section is a Pink Coin bell and a bounce flower boosting the party back to the central pit.
Past the bounce flower, however, is an extension hidden behind a bramble stalk. By destroying it, the party can access a section consisting of three hook vines leading up to a pathway further west.

Going into the central pit in the challenge offshoot leads to a lower room that begins with a semi-solid platform extended over a long vertical shaft. Windstruggler is present on the platform, slowly inching toward a block of cheese. Striking the fan hanging from the ceiling activates a wind current blowing upward and causes the platform to flip up. As the party falls down the shaft, they must avoid rose bushes and gun bullet patterns.
The shaft begins with two diagonal rose bushes, with indestructible red roses broken up by a portion with blue roses. This is followed by two gun bullet patterns shooting ring bullets the party can fall through. Past the bullet patterns is another set of diagonal rose bushes, with a vertical rose bush in the center. The shaft ends with three more gun bullet patterns and a drop into the next room.

The Pink Door contains a shortcut door to the left and a Mysterious Statue to the right. A Pink Coin bell hangs from above the shortcut door. A pathway to the south leads back to the top level of Flower Castle, activating a shortcut in that room.
A pink door is present at the center of this room. It is initially locked, but it can be unlocked using the MysteryKey purchased from the shop in Cliffs for 10 Pink Coins.
Unlocking and entering through the pink door leads to Pink's room, which has pale-green flooring and many flower pots along its walls. A SAVE point is present along the top-right. Orange is initially present in this room, and she flees to a pathway to the east.
The eastern pathway leads to another room in which the battle against Pink takes place. After Pink is defeated, the pathway is removed and inaccessible, and another pathway leading north opens up. If Ferroll was found and spoken to in Cliffs, they appear at this point and locate any remaining Pink Coins.
If the party loses to Pink and continues after a Game Over, a Pink Bomb appears in this room. The bomb can adjust the difficulty of Pink's bomb attacks, making them "nicer" or "meaner".
Entering through the northern pathway out of Pink's room leads to a dark room with six pedestals. The six flowers showcase their flower items, up to three of which can be purchased for 3 Pink Coins and 100 Flowery Dollars. After three have been purchased, the pedestals disappear, replaced with a single pedestal at the center of the room. Flowery appears and showcases his FloweryScarf, which can be purchased for 1 Flowery Dollar.

The pathway west of the challenge offshoot leads to a larger platforming section. This room contains of a set of eight hook vines hanging above a large chasm.
The best way to traverse the vines is to use Ralsei's R-Action on the next vine and jump towards him immediately after. On the second-to-last vine, the Annoying Dog appears instead of Ralsei and drops the party into the chasm. The dog only appears once, and generates a chest with a DogDollar if it does. Alternatively, it is possible to skip straight to the last vine by standing on the left end of Ralsei, skipping the cutscene.
The path leads to a space with a doorway and a ladder with Flowery's face, dubbed "Laddery", that Susie takes for Ralsei's room in Castle Town. Two Flowery Dollar bells hang from the ceiling above a Mysterious Statue, and a bounce flower boosts the party back to the beginning

Entering through the doorway leads to a small room with two Floradinns and one Kawkaw painting bromide drawings. The Kawkaw has a hat and a nameplate reading "MOA", and paints with its tongue. The Floradinns wear glasses, and the bottom one paints with a tail on its backside, implying it is actually a Netskie. The bottom Floradinn has a nameplate reading "YUKA". The BromideF can be picked up from the ground.
The nameplates are references to Hato Moa and Yukanuntiusel, the guest artists credited for the bromide art.
East of the platforming ascent is a room that begins with a cabinet that Kris can ACT on. Following the cabinet is an arena in which the six flowers all engage in a final bullet pattern encounter. Upon its defeat, Green launches a bullet pattern that heals the party to full HP.
Past the gauntlet is a Mysterious Statue and a doorway leading inside.

The Last Room,[4] or Castle Top,[5] contains a shortcut door and a SAVE point along the pathway. Further east is a horizontal hallway ending in a platform to the north overlooking a massive beanstalk. Here, Flowery engages the party in battle culminating in a climb up the beanstalk.
After defeating Flowery, the party ends up on a grassy pathway leading to a large area. The six flowers bid farewell to Kris and transform into their Light World counterparts. Susie, Ralsei, and Flowery are present at the end of the path, but Flowery continues to block the way forward until each flower has been spoken to. The pathway veers to the north and into a doorway decorated with the Delta Rune.
The room with the Dark Fountain has two extensions on either side, on which Flowery and Asgore stand. The party can move freely in this room and speak to Flowery and Asgore. When interacting with the Fountain, Kris is prompted to seal it.

After sealing the Dark Fountain, the Dark World remains active. The room is fully lit, and the Knight swiftly kidnaps Asgore. Flowery gives chase and runs after the Knight to the east. The Knight speeds up to outpace Flowery but attempts to halt its movement as it slams into a wall. Flowery emerges from a set of lamp-posts in the area and engages the Knight in battle.
After the Knight fatally wounds Flowery, the party runs to him as he sits against a large tree with pink leaves. Flowery transforms into his damaged Light World counterpart, and Kris and Susie continue to a pathway that veers north to the second Dark Fountain.
At the second Dark Fountain, Susie merely tells Kris to seal it. After doing so, they end up at the second floor of Flower King in the Light World.
